A reader of our newsletter expressed concern about our urging people to participate in the March Caucuses , but not providing any information where the Caucuses are taking place.

As we relayed to the reader, the BHBTP Newsletter reaches out to many counties, and states. As such it can be difficult to track down every Caucus.

However, the reader was able to locate some information for our readers in Park County, Wy:

"After much web searching, I have discovered that in Park County, the PRECINCT caucuses meet as follows:  6pm MARCH 1st….

All precincts except precinct 21-1 will caucus at the VFW Post 2673, 808 12th Street, Cody.
Precinct 21-1 will hold its caucus at the Mt. View Club House, 1001 Rd 18/Hwy 294, Powell.

For a MAP of the Precincts, see:

I have determined that my caucus meeting is at the Cody VFW.

I hope this info helps you AND our suffering electorate!"

Here is a copy of an e-mail I received today from someone else which was sent by the Park County (Wyoming) Republican Party Chairman to Precinct Committee Persons in Park County Wy regarding some upcoming political events:

From: "Colin Simpson" <>
Date: January 31, 2016 at 8:56:48 PM MST
Subject: NOTICE - 2016 PC GOP Precint Caucus & County Convention
Greetings Park County Central Committee Members;
The Park County Republican Party is organizing two very important events in March that are governed by the Bylaws and that will give us a chance to participate in this years exciting political process.

1.)  Please mark your calendars for the Precinct Caucuses, which will be held Tuesday, March 1st, at 6PM.  All precincts will meet at VFW Post 2673, 808 12th Street in Cody, except for Precinct 21-1, which will meet at the Mt. View Clubhouse, 1001 Road 18/Hwy 294, Powell.  I have requested that Precinct 21-1 join us all at the VFW in Cody so we may all participate together and I hope they will take me up on my request.
All registered Republicans in Park County may participate in their respective precinct caucuses so this is the chance for grassroots involvement in the party.  As precinct committee men and women, we ask you to please encourage your neighbors to attend and participate in these discussions.
Anyone who wishes to speak on behalf of their favorite Republican candidate for President will be given the chance to do so.  I would appreciate knowing in advance if someone wishes to speak who is working with a particular campaign as they will be given first priority.  The number of speakers will dictate time allowed.
We will also elect the delegates and alternates to our County Convention.  Precinct committee men and women are automatically the delegates to the County Convention but delegates for vacant precinct seats and alternates will also be selected.
People who attend will be organized by precinct, although small precincts may be clustered together for discussions.  We will also discuss and make suggestions for our 2016 County and State Platforms; Resolutions; and County and State Bylaws.
I am attaching copies of five documents that you should print out and bring to the Caucuses with you to aid in the discussion.  The attachments are:  the 2014 Wyoming GOP Bylaws; the 2014 Park County Republican Party Bylaws; the proposed 2016 Wyoming State Platform; the 2014 PCRP Platform; and the 2014 PCRP Resolutions.  The Precinct Caucuses are the opportunity to identify ideas and proposals that will be discussed and voted upon at the upcoming Park County Republican Party County Convention.

2.  The Park County Republican Party County Convention will be held Saturday, March 12, at 9AM at VFW Post 2673, 808 12th Street in Cody.  Only delegates (currently elected precinct committee men and women and those elected as delegates to fill precinct vacancies) and the alternates who fill in for those delegates will be allowed to vote at this meeting, per our Bylaws.
Delegates to the Park County Convention will elect one ALTERNATE DELEGATE to the important National Republican Party Convention, at which the Republican nominee for President will be selected.  We will also vote upon a County Platform and County Resolutions, along with proposals to the State Platform and National Resolutions and a delegation to represent us at the State GOP Convention.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Colin Simpson, Chairman
Park County Republican Party
